Predictions
That's right: last year, I finished 10th nationwide in the Baseball Prospectus Predictatron contest. This year, I won't even be close. Haven't had time for all the homework. Here goes -- the following are my Predictatron entries for 2007. Blame any mathematical errors on the BP website, which said my predictions were A-OK.

PLAYOFFS:
American League Division Series:
Cleveland Indians over Boston Red Sox in 4 games
(Boston's question marks in the rotation and the pen bite them at last.)
New York Yankees over L.A. Angels in 5 games
(An absolutely fantastic series, in which the Yankees get just enough pitching to turn off the Angels' bats, while the Yankees' offense survives the Angels' stellar pitching in three games.)
National League Division Series:
Los Angeles Dodgers over St. Louis Cardinals in 3 games
(Karma bites the Cards, as they play as horribly in the 2007 postseason as their opponents played against them in the 2006 postseason.)
Arizona Diamondbacks over New York Mets in 4 games
(The aging Randy Johnson defeats a still-rehabbing Pedro Martinez in Game 4.)
American League Championship Series:
New York Yankees over Cleveland Indians in 6 games
(Cleveland, which had the talent to win the division in 2005 and 2006, is not quite ready for prime time.)
National League Championship Series:
Arizona Diamondbacks over Los Angeles Dodgers in 5 games
(Who are these kids?)
World Series:
New York Yankees over Arizona Diamondbacks in 7 games
(The Yanks finally win the 2001 World Series.)
